The Kitchen Drawer Cooking Class Registration & Transfer Policy

Cooking classes at The Kitchen Drawer are on a first-come basis. Payment MUST be made at the time of registration. Registration can be done in person at the store, by phone or via email. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.

At the time of registration, please provide your name, telephone number, address (both physical and email) as well as class date/title/fee. If paying by credit card via phone or email, please be prepared to provide credit card number, expiration date and security code.

REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS MUST BE MADE ONE (1) WEEK PRIOR TO CLASS TIME - NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are unable to make the class time, you may send a substitute in your place or transfer your pre-paid fee to a future cooking class or store credit. NO REFUNDS are given at any time.

Due to the availability of ingredients, the chef may substitue recipes in class or because of time constraints not every recipe scheduled is prepared. We will make every effort to provide the class with written recipes, however some chefs cook straight from their head and heart. We strongly suggest that you bring a notebook or paper and pen to take your own notes during the class. Unless noted in the class description, food cannot be taken from our premises.

  CANNING & FOOD PRESERVATION - RELISH/SALSA

Want to learn the hows, whats and whys of food preservation? Patrice Dunagan, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service will lead this series of classes on canning. The first session will focus on basics; utilizing a water bath method with the class canning a corn relish which each participant will receive. As this will be a hands on class, please bring an apron or wear "canning clothes".

Cost: $30.00  (Discount if enrolling in both classes).

  CAST IRON COOKING

Forget money and land in the South when it comes to inheritances - the cast iron is what relatives fight for! Chef Alyssa Wilhite leads this class on cast iron cooking - care, storage, cooking, and recipes.  Carrie Bolton, FINEX representative will be in attendance with information and specials purchases on this great modern line of cast iron cookware.  This is one you don't want to miss!

  CANNING & FOOD PRESERVATION - JELLY/JAMS

The series of canning and food preservation continues.  Patrice Dunagan, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service is the instructor for this class which will focus on jelly/jams utilizing a water bath method.  As this is a hands on class, please bring an apron or wear "canning clothes".  Each participant will receive a jar of product canned in class.
