SPRING HAS ARRIVED IN EAST TEXAS WHICH MEANS THE AZALEAS AND DOGWOODS ARE BLOOMING, EASTER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, AND WE HAVE THE SPRING STORMS TO CREATE HAVOC WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE. MANY OF YOU ARE DUSTING OFF THE PATIOS TO WELCOME FRIENDS AND FAMILIES AS THE TEMPERATURES WARM UP. THE KITCHEN DRAWER HAS JUST WHAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR ENTERTAINING - WHETHER IT IS FOR EASTER LUNCH OR JUST A CASUAL SATURDAY NIGHT GET TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS, WE HAVE IT COVERED. ALSO, AS WALLY'S CARD & PARTY HAS CLOSED, WE DO HAVE IN STOCK A WIDE SELECTION OF PAPER NAPKINS IN COCKTAIL AND LUNCHEON SIZE.
WE WILL BE OFFERING TWO NEW CLASSES THIS MONTH WHICH TIE IN PERFECTLY FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. THE FIRST WILL BE MADELEINES. THE MADELEINE IS A TRADITIONAL SMALL BUTTERY SPONGE CAKE, ORIGINATING FROM THE NORTHEASTERN REGION OF FRANCE, AND ARE BAKED IN PANS WITH SHELL SHAPED DEPRESSIONS. THE LIGHT AIRY TREATS HOLD UP TO THE ADDITIONS OF CHEESE AND ONION, GIVING THE OPTIONS OF SWEET AND SAVORY FLAVORS.
OUR SECOND CLASS, HOMEMADE PIZZA DOUGH, IS IN RESPONSE TO MULTIPLE REQUESTS FROM MANY OF YOU. EVERYONE LOVES PIZZA AND MANY WANT TO MAKE THEIR OWN DOUGH TO USE ON THE GRILLS OR OVENS. THE CLASS WILL BE HANDS ON WITH EACH PARTICIPANT CREATING THEIR OWN PIZZA DOUGH AND PIZZA.
