 THE BASICS OF CAKE BAKING AND DECORATING COVERING THE AREAS LISTED BELOW:

PREPPING THE PAN, LEVELING, LAYERING CAKES, MAKING DIFFERENT TYPES OF FROSTING, FROSTING COLORATION, PIPING BAG ETIQUETTE, BASIC FROSTING TECHNIQUES, AND BASIC PIPING TECHNIQUES.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A LIST OF ITEMS THEY WILL NEED TO BRING WITH THEM FOR CLASS.

THIS WILL BE A GREAT CLASS FOR BEGINNERS TO CAKE BAKING OR JUST A REFRESHER COURSE !

PIPING TECHNIQUES FEATURING DOTS, STARS, ROSETTES, LINES, LOOPS, ROSES, LEAVES, SHELLS WILL FURTHER YOUR SKILLS IN THE CAKE DECORATING ARENA.  TIPS ON LEVELING AS WELL AS FILL AND LAYERING WILL BE PRESENTED.

CUPCAKES ARE EVERONE'S FAVORITES AND WITH THIS CLASS, WILL BE A FREQUENT REQUEST FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY! 

ESSENTIAL BAKING TIPS, FROSTING BASICS, PREPARING THE PERFECT BAG FOR FROSTING ( HOW TO FILL, CORRECT POSITION FOR DECORATING, AND PROPER PRESSURE IN USING THE BAG) ALONG WITH 9 TECHNIQUES WILL BE THE FOCUS OF THIS CLASS. 

 

AS MENTIONED, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASKED TO PROVIDE SOME MATERIALS WITH ALL OTHER MATERIALS BEING PROVIDED BY THE KITCHEN DRAWER.  UPON REGISTRATION FOR THE CLASSES, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE LIST OF MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO CLASS.

ADHERING TO A HEALTHIER EATING STYLE  CAN BE DERAILED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS BECAUSE WE ALL  WANT TO ENJOY  HEARTY FILLING FOODS THAT WARM US FROM WITHIN.   LEAD BY CHEF CHRISTIAN CHAVANNE,  THIS CLASS WILL FOCUS ON TRADITIONAL HEARTY ITALIAN RECIPES UPDATED  WITH TODAY'S CULINARY DEMANDS FOR GLUTEN FREE AND LIGHTER CALORIES.  MENU WILL INCLUDE CAPONATA SWEET/SOUR EGGPLANT DIP WITH VEGGIES AND CROSTINI,  ITALIAN TWIST WEDDING SOUP, SUGO DE CARNE AND TAGLIATELLE  WITH A SWEET APPLE FRITTATA FOR A SWEET ENDING.  THIS CLASS  WILL GET YOU THROUGH THE LAST BIT OF EAST TEXAS WINTER WEATHER AND KEEP YOU ON TRACK FOR CLEANER EATING IN 2019!
