SATURDAY - MAY 3rd is "Demo Day" in our store.  Chef Alyssa Wilhite will be here giving a preview of her Cheese Making Class that will be held on May 13th as well as demonstrating how to prepare the lovely vegetables that are coming into season. Enjoy 15% off your total purchases on Saturday only (excludes special orders and ICPG products)!

We are also very pleased to host a Benefit Bake Sale for Jacob Smith on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00am. Jacob is a junior at Whitehouse High School.  Jacob is Region 3 president of teh national organization FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Jacob and several other students were on their way back from a FCCLA Contest in Corpus Christi when they were struck by a drunk driver on Highway 59 in Wharton, TX. Jacob, another student, and a teacher had to be taken by LifeFlight to a Houston hospital. Jacob has had multiple surgeries for his injuries which include broken ankles, fractured vertebrae and head trauma. Jacob is now stable but still hospitalized in Houston. This bake sale is to benefit Jacob and his family to help cover the expenses incurred since the accident.

SATURDAY - MAY 3rd (8:00am-1:00pm) is Opening Day of the Rose City Farmers Market! It will be located @ Juls Restaurant, located at 7212 Old Jacksonville Hwy in Tyler.  Enjoy locally grown produce, cut flowers and herbs, pastured meats and free-range eggs, local honey, artisan foods, family-friendly activities, live music and cocktails on the patio.  True Vine Brewing Company and Porch Culture Coffee Roasters will also be represented.  After you buy your veggies, come on over to The Kitchen Drawer and let Chef Alyssa help you with preparation ideas for those lovely garden treasures.

THURSDAY - MAY 8th @ 6:00pm we will be having our second "Try Now...Make Later" cooking class ($18).  This time we are hosting our own Culinary Pinterest Party!! We perused Pinterest for intriguing summer dishes and came up with the following menu:

Dill Pickle Dip
Caramel Ice Cream Pull Aparts
Bacon Wrapped Avocados
Chicken 'Dip' Summer Salad
White Chocolate Key Lime Pie

TUESDAY - MAY 13th @ 6:00pm is our "Say Cheese" Cooking Class ($25).  Chef Alyssa Wilhite will be demonstrating how to make homemade Mozzarella Cheese as well as discussing the process of making your own Ricotta and Goat cheeses as well.  This will be a semi-hands on class. The class is already 1/2 full...register now to reserve your spot!
